Description |

Using the event reporter AUTOFAX appearing events cause an automatic
transmission of TELEFAX-messages or data telegrams to a remote control
station. The device is able to work by using private/public-ABX
connections. By triggering a message, caused by a status change on a
device input, a predefined FAX-message with up to several 1000 characters
or a data telegram will be automatically transmitted. So AUTOFAX is
able to register various events for several service providers and to
report them to the receiver using a FAX-transmission. For various events
23 message contacts are available, which are assigned with several FAX-
texts or data telegrams. Message triggering will be initiated by
actuating a closing or opening contact at the respective input slot. Per message, several phone numbers for the destination of information transmission can be defined, so that a FAX-messages can be sent to several receivers simultaneously. In case of a busy line a dial repeat takes place or an alternative telephone number will be dialed. The function-mode and the state of each input slot is displayed on a LC- Display. The telephone connection is throughout, so a sequential wired telephone can always be used even if AUTOFAX doesn´t transmit data. Telephone numbers and FAX-texts are configured by using a PC and a configuration software. Data is transmitted from PC to AUTOFAX over an RS232 interface. Programming is possible at any location. |
It is possible to program the AUTOFAX via a direct connection or via a
telephone by using the telephone network (remote programming/ (option).
Even at power failure all inputted data stay alive, because they are
stored in non- volatile memory. It is possible to recieve on-line ASCII datas from other units over the RS232 interface and to send them as a FAX-message (option). On this way, you can e.g. transmit production datas every day. As receiving station a simple FAX-receiver (group 3) is enough.
